Tremella fuciformis, commonly called snow mushroom or silver ear mushroom, contains polysaccharides that are used in cosmetic formulas for moisturising, film-forming and skin-conditioning effects. It appears in hydrating essences, serums, masks and moisturizers.

Dermatology reviews describe potential barrier-supportive, antioxidant and skin-repair applications, but much of the evidence remains laboratory or animal based.
